Could this be the missing ingredient from your health stack?

A message from Rebekah Brown, Founder and Head of Research, MPOWDER

MPOWDER was built on the foundations of community.
I feel passionately that the biggest component missing from women’s health is the female voice.

I also know, from thousands of hours of conversations with women in midlife over the last five years, that we navigate this life stage best together. We learn early in our lives that we are “other.” It is the stories we hear, the connections we make with women across life stages, that help us find our route to Part 2.

Our lived experience matters. And, through trial and error, through whispers passed on by others, through exhausting personal research, when we find that practitioner, that product, that lifestyle tweak, we share it. It’s that deep respect for lived experience that has built all that MPOWDER is able to offer today. As a researcher, I knew that if I could harness the wisdom we carry in our bones and blend it with the latest research, we could create transformative smart supplements and programs—together. And if we could facilitate safe spaces for conversation, people would find what works more swiftly too.

Yet, for our generation, menopause is arriving at a point when social ties are frayed. We are in the grip of a loneliness pandemic in many countries across the West.

MPOWDER releases a community-led white paper every year. It’s an opportunity to shine a spotlight on your lived experience, to evaluate what is missing in the support structures available today—and what we, collectively, need to do next.

The Connectivity Code explores, for the first time, the value of community and belonging in midlife.

We now know that loneliness has a bigger impact on our lifespan than smoking. To be well, we need to consider our support networks as much as we consider medical intervention, nutrition, supplementation, movement, and rest.

There is no silver bullet for menopause. And there is no blueprint either. But there are unequivocal interventions that can make a real difference.

My hope is that this paper acts as a catalyst for making community part of your self-care stack—starting now. For tips on how to find your way back, download the paper in full HERE.
